"Growing your Christmas Experience"
The Gray Family Farm
Our farm was first homesteaded by my great grandfather Robert Lee Gray here on Burnetts Chapel Rd in 1913 as a tobacco farm. It was passed down to my grandpa Emery Lee Gray who bought more land and continued to grow the farm. Later, my father Roy Lee Gray continued the farming business. Hickory Creek Farm is now a Choose and Cut Christmas Tree operation.
Over the years, the farm has produced many different crops, but, as most other farms in this area, the main cash crop was always the golden tobacco leaf.

Along with tobacco, there have been pigs, cows, horses and mules raised on the farm. Many vegetables have been grown and sold on a truck route into Greensboro. Hay, corn and wheat were also grown to feed the animals.
Today, the Gray Family Farm is known as Hickory Creek Farm because the Hickory Creek divides the farm on its way to the new Randleman Lake. The construction of the lake ended our cattle operation.
Several years ago, a large portion of our land was planted in Loblolly Pine trees for timber production.
Now, growing on the hillsides and meadows, you will see beautiful Christmas trees to decorate your home or business. We hope you will come out to visit and take one home for the holidays!
